The Asian Development Bank (ADB) 46th Annual Meeting of ADB’s Board of Governors, to be held at Delhi from 2-5 May 2013.
 The theme of the 2013 Annual Meeting is development through
empowerment. Seminars will discuss ideas for financing Asia’s cities;
innovations in generating “good” jobs; disaster risk reduction;
promoting public services; emphasizing the role of science, technology
and innovation in Asia’s growth; financing infrastructure; and building
greater south-south cooperation.
 About 4,000 participants including finance ministers, central bank
governors, senior government officials, and representatives from the
private sector, academe, media, and civil society are expected to
attend.
 ADB's Annual Meetings allow Governors from ADB member countries to
provide guidance on ADB administrative, financial, and operational
directions. The meeting also provides opportunities for member
governments to interact with ADB staff, nongovernment organizations,
media, and representatives of observer countries, international
organizations, academe, and the private sector.
