Pakistan’s economy depends on agriculture sectortherefore the role of agriculture scientists as think tank who are the asset of our country, can not be ignored. This was stated by the Chairman Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, while addressing the retired agricultural scientists, officers and staff.
The event was organized and conducted by Sardar Ghulam Mustafa, Director (PR and Protocol) PARC and his team in which Chairman, PARC distributed performance service awards to the retired employees in recognition of their meritorious services rendered by them.
Dr Iftikhar Ahmad said that the retirement of Agricultural Scientists will be a great loss to the organization. PARC will suffer a lot in the coming years.
Dr Iftikhar Ahmad stressed the administration and accounts directorates to facilitate the retired employees on priority basis to settle their pension and other issues.
He also directed the Scientists association to coordinate with retired scientists to benefit from their knowledge and experiences.
He asked the management to prepare a project for establishment of Hospital alongwith laboratory facility for the treatment of employees and their families.
He further advised that a PARC Foundation may also be established to further facilitates the employees of PARC.
